Віце-спікер російської Держдуми від скандальної партії Жириновського ЛДПР  і член виконкому Російського футбольного союзу Ігор Лебедєв вважає, що "нічого страшного" в бійці російських фанатів з англійськими немає, а також похвалив своїх співвітчизників за криваві дії в Марселі під час проведення Євро-2016.

 Про це він заявив в Twitter.

"Не бачу нічого страшного в бійці фанатів. Навпаки, молодці наші хлопці. Так тримати!", - написав він.

В інтерв'ю одному з російських пропагандистських видань він зазначив, що "футбольні вболівальники в 9 з 10 випадків приїжджають на матч, щоб побитися, і це нормальна ситуація".

"Хлопці відстоювали честь країни і не дали можливості англійцям якимось чином спаплюжити нашу батьківщину. Наших уболівальників треба пробачити і зрозуміти", - вважає російський віце-спікер
