Біля пам'ятника місту-герою Києву біля Кремлівської стіни, який напередодні з незрозумілих причин залишили без традиційного кошика з гвоздиками, все ж з'явилися квіти. Одним з перших, хто приніс їх до меморіалу, був відомий російський журналіст спеціальний кореспондент сайту "Медуза" Ілля Жегульов. Відповідне фото він виклав на своїй сторінці у Facebook.

"Порожнеча біля пам'ятника була досить демонстративною. Хотілося показати, що ніякі чиновники не можуть заборонити нашу пам'ять і поки у нас є руки, ми маємо можливість зробити щось самі. На щастя, поки що в Росії за покладання квітів не заарештовують", - розповів він, уточнивши, що був не єдиним, хто таким чином висловив свою позицію.

Примітно, що Жегульову, який активно висвітлював події на Майдані в 2013-2014 роках і в своїх публікаціях часто критикував російську владу, на 3 роки заборонений в'їзд в Україну. Причина – спроба потрапити в країну з окупованого Криму.

Туди він їздив за редакційним завданням і потрапив на півострів з російської сторони.

"Формально – вони мають рацію, тому що це незаконно. Але до цього ми два тижні намагалися домогтися від прес-служби прикордонників відповіді про те, що буде, якщо з Криму в'їхати в Україну, але нам ніхто не відповів", - розповів журналіст ТСН.ua.
