Министр экономики Японии Акира Амари подал в отставку, после того, как был обвинен в получении взятки, пишет Financial Times.
Как сообщила местная The Japan Times, коррупционный скандал начался на прошлой неделе с публикации в японском таблоиде. Журналисты обвинили главу Минэкономики и двух его секретарей в получении денег от строительной компании, которая якобы также компенсировала им представительские расходы.
По данным таблоида, Амари получил 1 млн иен (примерно 8460 долл.) наличными двумя частями - в частном порядке и в служебном кабинете. Большая часть этих денег не была указана в официальном отчете о финансировании его политической деятельности.
В свою очередь чиновник говорит, что переданные ему средства являются политическим пожертвованием, но признает, что они не были зарегистрированы должным образом.
