Податкова служба Чилі звернулася до суду з метою відкриття кримінального провадження щодо невістки президента країни Наталії Компаньйон.

«Запит стосується подачі неправдивих декларацій, внесення фальшивих рахунків у звіти компанії та незаконного заниження доходів для зменшення бази оподаткування», - йдеться у судовому позові податкової.

Запит на розслідування став наслідком обвинувачень щодо Себастьяна Давалоса, сина президента Чилі та чоловіка Наталії Компаньйон у використанні політичних зв'язків із метою надання дружині доступу до позики у 10 мільйонів доларів, яку вона використала для укладення вигідної угоди на ринку нерухомості.

Цей скандал сильно зашкодив рейтингу та репутації президента Чилі Мішель Бачелет. «Податкова також звернулася до суду із запитом про початок розслідування щодо Морісіо Валеро, бізнес-партнера Компаньйон, і ще 4 осіб щодо їх участі у вірогідних економічних злочинах», - наголошує Reuters.

Водночас, податкова не стала ініціювати розслідування щодо сина президента.
