«Уперше майже за десять років канадці обрали ліберальний уряд і вдруге поставили Трюдо при владі», - йдеться у повідомленні.

Як зазначається, Джастін Трюдо змінив на цій посаді Стівена Харпера, який дев'ять років був прем'єром країни.

За попередніми підрахунками голосів, більшість місць у канадському парламенті дістанеться лібералам. Ця партія є більш соціально орієнтованою.

Трюдо пообіцяв вкладати великі кошти в інфраструктурні проекти і підвищити податки для найзаможніших канадців. Крім цього, новий прем'єр виступає проти «бойової ролі» Канади на Близькому Сході.

Батько Джастіна Трюдо - П'єр Трюдо - був прем'єр-міністром Канади 25 років тому.
