Информационное агентство Associated Press, опубликует на YouTube архивные видеозаписи, самое раннее из которых датировано 1895 годом.

Часть видео уже можно посмотреть на каналах AP Archive и British Movietone– кинохроники, архивы которой в Великобритании имеет право показывать AP. Директор меджународных архивов информагентства Элвин Линдси сказал, что планируется значительно расширить коллекцию записей,пишет Slon.ru

Компания загружает записи на видеохостинг уже несколько недель, ежедневно – примерно по 30 тысяч сюжетов.

«Архив кадров AP вместе с коллекцией British Movietone создаст невероятное визуальное путешествие по событиям, которые изменили нашу историю», – приводит его слова Variety.

Линдси также сказал, что агентство может решить извлекать прибыль из коллекции, добавив к записям на YouTube рекламу.

Агентство Associated Press существует с 1846 года. Movietone News существовала с 1928 года по 1963, в Великобритании – с 1929 по 1979 под названием British Movietone. Компания была создана из Fox Movietone News, образованной в 1919 году.
