Європа має протидіяти російській пропаганді, яка має намір розколоти західний світ. Про це завяив депутат Бундестагу, представник Християнсько-демократичного союзу, Норберт Реттґен, повідомляє Deutsche Welle.  "Російська пропаганда намагається розколоти нас. Нам потрібно боротися проти цього", - заявив він.

Реттґен, який очолює комітет Бундестагу з зовнішньої політики, звинуватив російське державне телебачення у пропагандистському розповсюдженні неправдивої інформації, а також у конструюванні нових образів ворога серед населення країни.

"Вони подають себе як легітимні джерела, які висвітлюють альтернативну точку зору у порівнянні з тією, яка переважає в західних медіа. Багато людей вірять в це і тому така ситуація небезпечна. Цим питанням має зайнятися німецька політика. Російська пропаганда має на меті нас розколоти", - зазначив він.

Проте, на думку депутата, ті образи, які демонструє телебачення Росії, у Німеччині не спрацюють. "Методика телеканалу Russia Today більш витончена. Там йдеться про "антипутінську-істерію" та "цькування Росії", - стверджує він.

У відповідь Реттґен пропонує "посилити європейських міжнародних мовників: Deutsche Welle, BBC International, RFI". За його словами, пропаганді можна протиставити лише "ідеал об’єктивного, незаангажованого та багатостороннього висвітлення подій".
