Помер радник президента України, грузинський політик Каха Бендукідзе.

Про це журналістка Ольга Романова повідомила "Медузі" з посиланням на секретаря Бендукідзе. Згідно з інформацією, його знайшли мертвим у номері готелю,пише Українська правда

Каха Бендукідзе народився в 1956 році в Тбілісі.

До середини 2004 року Каха Бендукідзе був власником і директором в Росії холдингу "Об'єднані машинобудівні заводи". Заводи довелося продати після того, як президент Грузії Михайло Саакашвілі запросив Бендукідзе проводити реформи.

З 2004 по 2008 рік він був державним міністром Грузії з координації економічних реформ, а з 2008 по 2009 рік очолював канцелярію уряду Грузії.

На початку травня Бендукідзе позбувся останнього майна в Росії - продав величезну квартиру в центрі Москви. Сказав, що вона йому вже точно не знадобиться.

Дотримувався лібертаріанських економічних і політичних поглядів. Був членом міжнародної експертної ради, яку створили при Міністерстві економіки України на гроші канадського уряду.

В травні 2014 року стало відомо про призначення Кахи Бендукідзе радником президента Петра Порошенка.

Бендукідзе був переконаний, що якщо найближчим часом не провести кардинальні реформи, то Україна як держава в нинішніх кордонах може перестати існувати.

Нещодавно в інтерв'ю Bloomberg Бендукідзе порівняв реформи в Україні з "пацієнтом, у якого відвалюється голова" і висловив упевненість що влада в Україні не зацікавлена всерйоз у дерегуляції економіки та скороченню держапарату.
