Компания Apple, по сообщениям сетевых источников, получила патент на "цифровое периодическое издание". По сути, речь идёт об электронной газете с обновляемым контентом.

Судя по имеющемуся описанию, цифровая газета Apple строится на основе гибкого дисплея большого формата. Причём изображение теоретически может выводиться на обе стороны. Конструкция предусматривает наличие процессора, памяти для хранения данных, набора сенсоров, включая приёмник GPS и датчик прикосновений, а также модуля для работы в мобильной сети.

По задумке Apple, контент на газету будет передаваться в составе MMS с предварительной разбивкой по типу данных - текст, изображения, звук или видео. После доставки набора сообщений гаджет сформирует на их основе единую статью, внешне напоминающую веб-страницу.

Цифровые газеты Apple, разумеется, смогут демонстрировать рекламу. Более того, не исключается вариант, что такие гибкие дисплеи будут располагаться в различных общественных местах для отображения маркетинговых материалов и полезной информации.

О планах Apple по практическому использованию запатентованной разработки пока ничего не сообщается.
