Береговая охрана британского города Ипсвич арестовала копию Ноева ковчега длиной более 70 метров. Судно стоит в Великобритании уже больше года.

Копия Ноева ковчега — это большой плавучий музей. Внутри расположены скульптуры животных и персонажи различных библейских сцен. Ковчег прибыл в Великобританию из Нидерландов, но выпустить его не могут, потому что у владельца нет документов, подтверждающих его мореходность.

Срок получения документов уже вышел, и теперь владельцу ковчега грозит штраф за простой — по 500 фунтов за каждый день, который судно находилось в порту, начиная с 1 апреля 2021 года.

Жителям города соседство с ковчегом не нравится из-за его габаритов — люди говорят, что он портит вид и закрывает солнце.
