Председатель комитета Государственной думы по образованию, член Высшего совета партии "Единая Россия" Вячеслав Никонов на своей странице в Facebook сообщил о том, что принял участие в акции "Бессмертный полк" с портретом своего деда Вячеслава Молотова, бывшего в годы войны наркомом иностранных дел СССР и подписавшего пакт о разделе сфер влияния в Европе с фашистской Германией.

"Прошел сегодня в колонне нижегородского "Бессмертного полка" с портретом своего деда Вячеслава Молотова. В годы войны Молотов занимал пост заместителя председателя Государственного комитета обороны СССР, был членом Ставки верховного главнокомандования СССР... С Праздником, друзья! Ура Победе!" – написал он.

23 августа 1939 года в Москве было подписано соглашение о ненападении между Советским Союзом и нацистской Германией.

Соглашение подписали министр иностранных дел Германии Иоахим фон Риббентроп и председатель Совета народных комиссаров, народный комиссар иностранных дел СССР Вячеслав Молотов. По именам подписантов договор получил название пакт Молотова – Риббентропа.

Соглашение имело секретное приложение, предусматривавшее распределение сфер взаимных интересов обоих государств в Восточной Европе, в соответствии с которым прибалтийские государства отходили Советскому Союзу, а Польша – Германии.

В годовщину подписания пакта Молотова – Риббентропа в странах ЕС вспоминают жертв сталинизма и нацизма.
