За словами друзів, спершу вони посміялися з прохання Пола Брума, сприйнявши його за жарт. Утім, коли чоловік помер, виявилося, що цей пункт був внесений у його заповіт як “остання воля”.

Брума поховали в труні, що була схожа на частково розпакований батончик Snickers. Для вшанування почуття гумору Пола, його друзі написали фразу “I’m nuts”, що означає “Я божевільний”.

“Сім’я Пола розповіла нам, що він був дуже людяним, і його прощання мало це показати. Його розум і почуття гумору залишили глибокий слід у багатьох, і труна стала демонстрацією його неповторної особистості”, — зазначила Алі Легго, організаторка похоронної церемонії, яка працювала над прощальним днем.
