Ілон Маск реально сподівався на зняття мита між США та Європою. Пітер Наварро сказав, що Маск нічого в цьому не розуміє.

"Ми всі в Білому домі розуміємо (і американський народ розуміє), що Ілон — виробник автомобілів. Але він не виробник автомобілів, він збиральник автомобілів. У багатьох випадках, якщо ви йдете на його завод у Техасі, значну частину двигунів він отримує", — заявив Наварро.

Статки Ілона Маска опустилися нижче $300 млрд на тлі тарифної політики Трампа. 

7 квітня він втратив $4,4 млрд після того, як акції Tesla продовжили падіння. 

Згідно з індексом мільярдерів Bloomberg Billionaires Index, його статки склали 297,8 млрд доларів. 

Загалом цього року Маск втратив вже $134,7 млрд.
