Банан, приклеенный скотчем к стене, был продан за $120 000 на международной художественной ярмарке Art Basel Miami. Ожидается, что очередное издание концепт-арта будет продано за $150 000. Об этом сообщает Newsweek.

Арт-объект называется Comedian (Комик). Автор, Маурицио Каттелан, не разъяснил значения своего произведения. Сговорчивее оказался хозяин галереи, которая занимается продажей концепта, Эмманюэль Перротэн. Он пояснил, что бананы являются "символом мировой торговли, двойного смысла, а также классического юмора".

Сообщается, что Каттелан работал над произведением около года. Каждый раз, когда он путешествовал, он брал с собой банан и вешал его в своем гостиничном номере, чтобы найти вдохновение. Он сделал несколько моделей: сначала из смолы, затем из бронзы и из окрашенной бронзы, но в итоге вернулся первоначальной идее настоящего банана.

На данный момент было продано два концепта Comedian: оба ушли с молотка за $120 000. Перротэн рассчитывает, что третий удастся продать за $150 000.
