"Укрпочта" 22 января, в день завершения героической обороны Донецкого аэропорта, ввела в обращение почтовую марку "Они выстояли! Не выдержал бетон" в честь "киборгов".

Автором марки являются график Андрей Ермоленко. Тираж составляет 130 тыс. экземпляров, номинальная стоимость почтовой марки - 9 грн.

Кроме того, к почтовой марке выпущен конверт "Первый день" и изготовлен штемпель спецпогашения.

Защита Донецкого аэропорта длилась 242 дня, пока танками и артиллерией противника не были уничтожены все строения, способные обеспечивать укрытие для украинских бойцов. За это время 200 украинских бойцов погибли, 58 из них - в последние несколько суток в результате подрыва терминала Донецкого аэропорта. Еще полтысячи получили ранения.

В Донецком аэропорту и поселке Пески в течение этого периода воевали спецназовцы 3-го отдельного полка, бойцы 79-й, 80-й, 81-й, 95-й отдельных аэромобильных и 93-й отдельной механизированной бригады, 57-й отдельного мотопехотной бригады, 90-го отдельного аэромобильного и 74-го отдельного разведывательного батальонов , бойцы полка "Днепр-1", Добровольческого украинского корпуса (ДУК) и другие.
