У Києві 22 січня до Дню Соборності України відбудеться традиційний Живий ланцюг Соборності. Учасники акції символічно об'єднують береги Дніпра «живим ланцюгом» на мосту Патона в Києві, рухаючись назустріч двома колонами — з лівого берега (символізує Українську Народу Республіку) та з правого берега (символізує Західно-Українську Народну Республіку).

Метою Живого Ланцюга соборності є нагадати українцям про визначні дати в історії української державності — 22 січня 1918 року, коли Центральною Радою було прийнято IV Універсал, та 22 січня 1919 року, коли відбулося об'єднання Української Народної Республіки та Західно-Української Народної Республіки в одну державу. Це є свідченням того, що саме українці є творцями власної держави.
Акція не є політичною, тому будь-яка партійна чи організаційна атрибутика під час її проведення заборонена.
