На вихідних напроти Білого дому активісти встановили 20 тисяч порожніх стільців, кожен з яких символізує 10 американців, які померли від COVID-19.

Про це повідомляє американське видання The Washigton Post.

Минулого місяця в США кількість померлих від коронавірусу перевищила 200 000 осіб, а група Covid Survivors for Change, покликана допомогти постраждалим від вірусу знайти групи підтримки та інші ресурси, оголосила неділю національним днем пам’яті.

Активісти закликають чиновників “зробити більше для розробки національного плану безпеки і відновлення”.

Нагадаємо, що спалах коронавірусної інфекції почався в кінці 2019 року в Китаї. 11 березня 2020 року Всесвітня організація охорони здоров’я оголосила поширення коронавірусу пандемією.
