Египетские власти в понедельник вечером высветили на пирамиде Хеопса призыв оставаться дома.

Как сообщает Gulf News, на пирамиду была выведена проекция со словами "Оставайтесь в безопасности", "Оставайтесь дома", "Спасибо тем, кто сохраняет нас в безопасности".

По состоянию на 30 марта в Египте зарегистрировали 656 случаев заболевания COVID-19, включая 41 смертельный исход.

По сообщениям, из общего числа инфицированных 150 выздоровели. Египет, экономика которого сильно зависит от туристической отрасли, раньше провел масштабную дезинфекцию археологических памятников, музеев и прочих мест по всей стране.

Одновременно введены строгие меры социального дистанцирования для снижения риска заражения 100 миллионов жителей страны. Закрыты туристические и религиозные объекты, не работают школы, а воздушные перевозки остановлены.

Власти также объявили комендантский час в ночное время.
