Сеть супермаркетов запустила партизанскую кампанию, представив себя более дешевой альтернативой другим сетям Waitrose и Marks & Spencer. Рекламное агентство TBWA создало серию наружной рекламы, которая демонстрировала похожий креатив M&S и Waitrose с наложенной «рекламой» от Lidl с промо дешевых цен. Наружная реклама также располагалась рядом с магазинами конкурентов. Lidl продвигала более дешевые предложения на популярные рождественские продукты, такие как рождественский пудинг, пирожки с начинкой, индейку и имбирный ликер.
