Картину стрит-арт художника Бэнкси, личность которого до сих фактически не установлена, продали на лондонском аукционе Sothebyʼs за 9,9 млн фунтов стерлингов ($12,2 млн).

Работой "Скатившийся парламент" (Devolved Parliament) Бэнкси высмеял британских политиков, изобразив из как шимпанзе, заседающих в Палате общин. На сегодняшний день картина размером 4,2х2,5 метра является самым большим произведением художника. А теперь и рекордно дорогим, сообщается в Twitter аукциона.

Торги прошли 3 октября. За 13 минут финальная цена произведения превысила начальную более чем в пять раз и установила новый аукционный рекорд стоимости для работ Бэнкси. Прежний составил $1,9 млн - на тех же торгах Sothebyʼs в Нью-Йорке за эту сумму продали картину "Незапятнанность".

Покупатель самого дорогого на сегодняшний день произведения Бэнкси неизвестен. Впрочем, как и продавец. Отреагировал на покупку картины и сам Бэнкси: "Жаль, что она принадлежала не мне", - написал он в Instagram вскоре после продажи картины.
