Кінберг очолить запуск нової саги в улюбленій далекій-далекій галактиці та напише сценарії, які, як сподівається Lucasfilm, прокладе абсолютно новий шлях для всесвіту науково-фантастичної космічної опери.

Продюсувати нову трилогію також буде топ-менеджер Lucasfilm Кетлін Кеннеді.

Нова історія не повинна бути продовженням саги про Скайвокера. Мета тут полягає в тому, щоб мати абсолютно нових персонажів.
