Бывший председатель комитета Верховной Рады по вопросам государственного строительства и местного самоуправления Давид Жвания заявил, что спонсировал президентскую кампанию Михаила Саакашвили в Грузии.

Об этом он сказал в интервью "Украинской правде".

" Я Саакашвили знаю давно, еще до того, как он стал президентом. Я помогал ему перед тем, как он стал президентом. У нас были прекрасные отношения.", - сказал Жвания

По словам бизнесмена, он спонсировал президентскую кампанию Михеила Саакашвили в Грузии.

"Я помогал ему перед тем, как он стал президентом. Во всех сферах. Начиная от финансовых, заканчивая прямой поддержкой. Это же было еще до революции у нас. Вплоть до того, что помогали ему, чтобы он тогда пришел к власти. Более миллиона долларов в президентскую компанию ", - сказал Жвания.

Комментируя "выгодность инвестиций" Жвания отметил, что позже вложенные средства ему вернули: "Я не просил их вернуть. Хотя деньги вернули обратно. Уже на Оранжевую революцию они поступили в избирательный штаб, с чего ему и были выданы".
