Заступник міського голови Володимира Кличка, секретар Київради Володимир Прокопів написав заяву про звільнення, щоб очолити партію екс-президента Петра Порошенка "Європейська Солідарність" у Києві.

Рішення очолити партію ЄС у Києві робить неможливою мою подальшу роботу на посаді секретаря Київради. Коли депутати мене обирали, я пообіцяв, що не буду віддавати перевагу жодній партії. Свої обіцянки я завжди виконую.

Посаду заступника міського голови – секретаря Київради Прокопів обіймає з грудня 2015 року.

У Київраду обирався двічі. У 2016 році за результатами голосування з-поміж усіх депутатів Київради набрав ледь не найбільшу кількість голосів (майже 50% у своєму окрузі).

За попередньої каденції Прокопів очолював комісію Київради з питань містобудування, архітектури та землекористування.

Після звільнення з посади заступника Кличка залишається депутатом міськради.
