Юрисконсульт 45-го президента США Дональда Трампа Джон Істмен розробив спеціальний план державного перевороту в разі програшу на виборах у листопаді 2020 року.

Про це йдеться в книзі Боба Вудворда та Роберта Кости про президентство Трампа, повідомляє американське видання The Washington Post.

План був досить простим. Тодішній віцепрезидент США Майк Пенс мав би визнати президентські вибори недійсними й лідером країни й далі залишився б Трамп. Аби реалізувати державний переворот, потрібно було зробити шість кроків.

Цей план в США охрестили “жахливим юридичним планом війни Трампа з демократією”.

Одна про деталі плану в американських ЗМІ вирішили не писати, оскільки “з боку Трампа було стільки нападів на демократію, що журналісти перестали звертати увагу парадоксальні теорії”.

Водночас деякі представники ЗМІ назвали план таким, що шокує, але не дивує.

У своєму плані “Сценарій 6 січня” Істмен написав, як Пенс, керуючись “нормами Конституції, проігнорує результати виборів у семи американських штатах й назве вибори 2020 року — недійсними.
