Про це під час конференції the Code/Media заявив керівник YouTube з питань контенту та бізнес-операцій Роберт Кінкл (Robert Kyncl), повідомляє Media Sapiens

Бета-версія ресурсу зараз тестується і доступна лише за запрошенням.

За словами представника YouTube, частина його аудиторії хоче більшого, тому згодна платити за контент.

«Ми не думаємо, що це щось змінить для наявних користувачів», - сказав Кінкл.

В Google раніше казали, що місячна передплата за сервіс без реклами становитиме від $7,99. Це дозволить користувачам дивитися відео офлайн та слухати музику у фоновому режимі.

Reuters зазначає, що ця ситуація означає серйозні зміни для найпопулярнішого у світі сервісу онлайн-відео.

Місячна аудиторія YouTube становить понад 1 мільярд користувачів.
