YouTube предложил компенсацию тем компаниям, чья реклама появлялась рядом с экстремисткими роликами. При этом в некоторых случаях её размер не превышал $3, пишет Financial Times со ссылкой на свои источники.

Предполагается, что таким способом YouTube пытается вернуть бренды, которые продолжают бойкотировать площадку. По данным Financial Times, по меньшей мере три рекламные фирмы получили предложение о выплате «пары долларов» в качестве компенсации. Как минимум одна из них отказалась от возмещения.

По словам одного из источников FT, сумма компенсации в этих случаях отражает относительно небольшое число показов, которые видео получили на YouTube.

Google, владелец YouTube, отказался комментировать эту информацию. Пресс-секретарь компании лишь сказал: «Когда кто-то неоднократно нарушает наши правила, мы блокируем аккаунт, выплачиваем компенсацию рекламодателям и не платим автору контента или издателю».

Напомним, что в марте этого года ряд крупных рекламодателей приостановили сотрудничество с YouTube после того, как выяснилось, что их объявления показывались на страницах с экстремистскими видео.

YouTube удалось вернуть часть рекламодателей после бойкота, однако пока не все компании вернулись на платформу.
