Видеохостинг YouTube приступил к разработке сервиса Unplugged, который предоставит пользователям доступ к интернет-вещанию платных телеканалов, сообщает RNS.
 
 
По информации источников Bloomberg, вся техническая архитектура уже подготовлена. А сам сервис может начать работу в 2017 году. Представители YouTube также провели переговоры с крупнейшими американскими медиакомпаниями, среди которых - NBCUniversal, Viacom Inc., Twenty-First Century Fox и CBS.
 
Ожидается, что наряду с запущенным прошлой осенью платным сервисом подписки Red новый сервис должен стать одним из источников нерекламной выручки YouTube.
