Газета извинилась за материалы с 1992 года.

Самая многотиражная газета Японии "Емиури симбун" извинилась перед читателями за употребление выражения "сексуальные рабыни" в адрес кореянок, вывезенных в японские военные публичные дома во время Второй мировой войны,пишет Корреспондент

Газета сочла, что это выражение "неуместно", причем речь идет о 97 материалах, опубликованных в период с 1992 до 2013 года. В электронном архиве газеты к каждой из статей будет добавлена сноска с объяснением этой ошибки.

Японские националисты отрицают принудительный характер вывоза почти 200 тысяч женщин из Кореи в публичные дома в Японии, где их заставляли обслуживать военнослужащих японской армии.

Несмотря на это, в 1993 году Япония признала факт насилия по отношению к этим женщинам и принесла официальные извинения.
