Український боксер Володимир Кличко в інтерв’ю  focus online заявив, що воєнний стан не повинен заважати виборам президента держави, адже без них в Україні виникнуть такі ж умови, як і в Росії.

На думку Кличка, вибори президента України, які повинні були б відбутись у березні цього року  обов’язкові. Водночас боксер не заперечує, що їх проведення на практиці – непросте питання.

За його словами, найголовніше – як дати змогу проголосувати військовим, які на передовій захищають Україну.

“Щоденні атаки також є серйозною проблемою. Ми не можемо ризикувати життям людей, які голосують. Виборчі дільниці, звісно, стануть чудовою ціллю для росіян”, – зауважив Володимир Кличко.

Однак, додав боксер, можна провести голосування у застосунку “Дія”, однак вирішення щодо цього питання – за президентом.

“Якщо у воєнний час можна замінити Головнокомандувача збройними силами, то це ж стосується й президента, правильно? Ми живемо в умовах воєнного стану – все під контролем централізовано: судова влада, поліція, ЗМІ. Але у нас досі демократія. Не влада повинна командувати народом, навпаки. Нам потрібні вибори, інакше у нас будуть такі ж умови, як у Росії”, – вважає Кличко.
