Податкові інспекції Австралії і Нової Зеландії повідомили, що почали розслідування відносно клієнтів панамської юридичної фірми Mossack Fonseca, яка опинилася в центрі скандалу про ймовірне ухилення від сплати податків.

Австралійське податкове управління повідомило, що почало розслідування відносно більш ніж 800 клієнтів Mossack Fonseca.

"В даний час ми ідентифікували понад 800 платників податків і тепер пов'язуємо більш ніж 120 з них з постачальником офшорних послуг, що базуються в Гонконзі", - повідомило управління.

Глава податкового управління Майкл Кренстон повідомив, що його відомство співпрацює з поліцією, Австралійською комісією зі злочинності і антивідмивним регулятором AUSTRAC, продовжуючи вивчати опублікований витік.

Податкове агентство Нової Зеландії повідомило, що працює зі своїми партнерами по податковим угодам, щоб отримати повні деталі щодо будь-якого новозеландського податкового резидента, який може бути залучений в домовленості, які втілювалисся зусиллями Mossack Fonseca
