Всемирная организация здравоохранения (ВОЗ) намерена бороться с распространением ложной информации о коронавирусе.

Для этого организация планирует сотрудничать с корпорацией Google и социальными сетями Twitter, Facebook, Tencent и Tiktok.

Об этом сообщает издание DW со ссылкой на заявление генерального директора ВОЗ Тедроса Адхана Гебрейсуса для агентства AFP.

По словам Гебрейсуса, ВОЗ будет бороться не только с неправдивой информацией о новом вирусе, но и ложными рекомендациями по лечению вызванного вирусом заболевания. Руководитель ВОЗ сказал, что сотрудники организации круглосуточно работают, чтобы находить дезинформацию, которую распространяют в интернете. Он также отметил, что неправильные рекомендации по лечению или мерам профилактики против вируса могут быть опасными для здоровья.

ВОЗ скооперировалась с Google, чтобы ее сообщения и новости отображались первыми при поиске информации о коронавирусе. Американские соцсети Twitter и Facebook и китайские Tencent и Tiktok тоже должны принять меры для сдерживания распространения недостоверной информации.
