Британский сотовый оператор Vodafone опубликовал отчет, в котором сообщается о прослушке телефонных разговоров пользователей в 29 странах мира. Причем, согласно докладу, в шести из них власти имеют прямой постоянный доступ к хранящимся внутри сети данным. Об этом в пятницу, 6 июня, пишет The Financial Times.

В отчете Vodafone не разглашается, какие именно страны занимаются прослушиванием телефонов по юридическим причинам. При этом в компании отметили, что власти некоторых стран обращаются к ним с просьбой о передаче данных пользователей для проведения расследований. В частности, с их помощью появляется возможность обнаружить местоположение разыскиваемых лиц. Согласно сообщению оператора, наибольшее число подобных запросов в 2013 году поступало от властей Италии, Танзании, Венгрии и Испании.

Аналогичные отчеты также публикуют такие компании, как AT&T, Verizon и Deutsche Telekom.
