У так званий "супервівторок" колишній віцепрезидент США Джо Байден переміг у принаймні восьми штатах на праймеріз Демократичної партії, але сенатор Берні Сандерс перемагає у найбільшому - Каліфорнії.

Серед 14 штатів Байден здобуває перемогу в Массачусетсі, Алабамі, Арканзасі, Вірджинії, Міннесоті, Північній Кароліні, Оклахомі і Теннессі. Його головний суперник сенатор Берні Сандерс став переможцем в трьох штатах: Юті, Вермонті і Колорадо.

Fox News та AP прогнозували, що Сандерс переміг і у Каліфорнії. В Американському Самоа виграв колишній мер Нью-Йорка мільярдер Майкл Блумберг.

Не називаючи імені, Сандерс розкритикував Байдена під час мітингу з прихильниками у Вермоні, згадуючи його голосування 2002 року про дозвіл на війну в Іраку та підтримку глобальних торгових угод, проти яких Сандерс виступив проти. Американці чекають результатів голосування в штатах Техас і Каліфорнія.

Нагадаємо, Байден провалився на попередньому голосуванні в Айові та Нью-Гемпширі, але став другим у Неваді і першим у Південній Кароліні.
