Верховний суд Вісконсина в четвер оголосив, що не розглядатиме позов штабу Дональда Трампа про скасування результатів президентських виборів у цьому американському штаті.

За повідомленням американських ЗМІ, більшість суддів дійшла висновку, що позов, поданий раніше цього тижня, слід розглядати в суді нижчої інстанції.

Метою позову було переконати судову владу Вісконсину не зараховувати понад 200 тис. бюлетенів, що надійшли з "демократичних" районів штату. У разі успіху подібної ініціативи у Трампа з'явилася б реальна можливість добитися перегляду на свою користь підсумків виборів у Вісконсині: згідно з офіційними даними, там він поступився кандидату від демократів Джо Байдену приблизно 20 тис. голосів.

Юристи штабу Трампа нині намагаються в декількох штатах через суди домогтися перегляду підсумків президентських виборів. У разі успіху це може дозволити Трампу залишитися в Білому домі на другий термін. Однак поки що подібні зусилля не принесли істотних успіхів.
