На территории Японии начались выборы в палату советников, верхнюю палату парламента страны. Об этом сообщает телеканал NHK.

В палате на 242 места на данном этапе будет переизбираться 121 представитель органа. На эти места претендуют 389 депутатов.

На данный момент 116 депутатов палаты принадлежат к Либерально-демократической партии, 64 - к оппозиционной Демократической партии. Третье место по числу мандатов занимает партия Комэйто.
