Команда благодійного фонду KSE Foundation разом зі студентами та викладачами Київської школи економіки українізує платформу дистанційної освіти Khan Academy.
Наразі на Khan Academy доступні три курси українською — з арифметики, основ алгебри та матаналізу — все у форматі коротких відеоуроків, конспектів і тестів.
Наша робота — це трішки більше, ніж просто переклад. Ми називаємо це локалізацією, адже адаптуємо стилістику пояснень і термінологію під українські реалії, записуємо заново відео. Водночас ми намагаємося зберігати суть платформи — природність пояснень, заклик до допитливості та обережне підштовхування учнів до спроб.

Збір коштів розпочали у травні цього року і завдяки внескам благодійників команда проєкту вже переклала понад 2 мільйони слів, озвучила та адаптувала більш ніж 70 годин відео для курсів: «Арифметика», «Основи алгебри» та «Передмова до математичного аналізу».
У планах — локалізація українською понад 5 тисяч уроків із природничих наук, інженерії, економіки, комп’ютерного програмування й математики, а також інтерактивних конспектів і тестів до них.
Ми хочемо зробити STEM-освіту (природничі науки, технології, інженерія, математика) відкритою в Україні, аби кожна дитина мала доступ до кращих освітніх матеріалів будь-де й будь-коли. Локалізація українською мовою онлайн-платформи Khan Academy — наш внесок в освітнє майбутнє України.
