В США объявили о запуске процедуры импичмента президента страны Дональда Трампа за вероятное давление на президента Украины Владимира Зеленского во время телефонного разговора.

Об этом заявила спикер Палаты представителей Нэнси Пелоси, сообщает CNN.

 «Президент должен нести ответственность. Никто не выше закона», — заявила она.

В свою очередь Трамп в Twitter назвал эту ситуацию «президентским харассментом» (домогательством), а обвинения против него — «охотой на ведьм».

Он подчеркнул, что стенограмма его разговора с лидером Украины Владимиром Зеленским еще не была обнародована.

«Они даже не видели стенограмму звонка. Тотальная охота на ведьм!», — написал Трамп.

«Такой важный день в Организации Объединенных Наций, столько работы и столько успеха, а демократы намеренно разрушают и презирают ее еще большим новостным мусором об охоте на ведьм.

Так плохо для нашей страны!», — написал Трамп. Сообщение о возможном начале процедуры импичмента поступило после того, как Дональд Трамп разрешил публикацию стенограммы телефонного разговора с президентом Украины Владимиром Зеленским, в ходе которого, по сообщениям СМИ, он поднял вопрос о расследовании деятельности бывшего вице-президента США Джо Байдена и его сына.

Трамп признался, что по телефону обсуждал с Зеленским коррупцию и упоминал Джо Байдена и его сына, которые «создавали коррупцию в Украине».

Глава Белого дома отрицает, что оказывал давление на официальный Киев.
