Організація з безпеки і співробітництва в Європі узгодила ряд нових призначень на керівні посади.

Зокрема, новим генеральним секретарем стане Томас Гремінгер (Thomas Greminger), колишній представник Швейцарії. Представником ОБСЄ з питань свободи ЗМІ стане французький політичний діяч Арлем Дезір (Harlem Desir), повідомляє Media Sapiens із посиланням на Reuters.

Також були узгоджені призначення на пост комісара у справах нацменшин - ним стане Ламберто Занньєр (Lamberto Zannier), та директора Бюро з питань демократії та прав людини - на цей пост обрали Сольрун Гісладоттір (Solrun Gisladottir).

Як пояснив міністр закордонних справ та інтеграції Австрії Себастьян Курц (Sebastian Kurz), ці чотири керівні посади тривалий час залишалися вакантними через неможливість досягнути згоди між 57 державами-членами організації. «Ми повинні боротися з величезною втратою довіри до ОБСЄ. Перш за все, нам потрібне лідерство ... Це було великою проблемою останніх кількох місяців, я б навіть сказав, років», - зазначив він.

Усі нові призначення мають пройти через формальний процес, але, як очікується, вони будуть підтверджені наступного тижня.
