Геннадий Труханов, кандидат на пост мэра Одессы и экс - член Партии регионов, фракцию которой возглавлял в горсовете, является гражданином Российской Федерации.

Как передает корреспондент «Одесса. Комментарии», об этом свидетельствуют документы, имеющиеся в распоряжении Украинской правды.

Так, по данным Федеральной миграционной службы РФ, уроженец города Одессы, Труханов Геннадий Леонидович , 1965 г. рождения является владельцем паспорта гражданина РФ с пропиской в г. Буйнакск (Республика Дагестан).

Паспорт выдан Буйнакским городским отделом внутренних дел на основе паспорта, который был ранее получен в связи с увольнением в запас из рядов вооруженных сил РФ.

Имеющиеся официальные данные свидетельствуют о том, что Труханов имеет и второй действительный паспорт гражданина РФ с пропиской в г. Сергиев - Посад (Московская область), выданный в связи с достижением  45 лет 24 марта 2011.

Данный паспорт был получен в г. Сергиев - Посад 15 апреля 2003 в связи с получением гражданства РФ.
