Про це свідчить опитування Інституту соціологічних досліджень для газети Morgunblaðið, передає Euobserver.

Дослідження показало, що за Ісландську піратську партію готові проголосувати 22,6% опитаних, а за нині правлячу правоцентристську Партію незалежності 21,1%. Рух Ліві-Зелені набирає 18,6%.

Ісландська піратська партія є частиною глобального руху за реформу авторського права в мережі, який був започаткований у 2006 році у Швеції. Партія не позиціонує себе як права чи ліва, виступаючи за пряму демократію, громадянські права, прозорість і публічний доступ до інформації.
