Керівником групи експертів ЄС, метою якої є протидія російській пропаганді, призначили Жиля Портмана.

Про це у вівторок, 1 серпня, повідомив сам Портман у соціальній мережі Linkedin, передає Укрінформ

Відтак до його обов’язків входить комунікація і просування політики Євросоюзу у рамках Східного партнерства, підвищення дієздатності ЄС реагувати на дезінформацію, а також посилення незалежності ЗМІ.

Раніше Портман працював у Європейській службі зовнішніх дій (дипломатичному відомстві ЄС), МЗС Британії, був постійним представником Лондона у ЄС.

Нагадаємо: команда Євросоюзу з протидії російській пропаганді має запрацювати повною мірою у вересні цього року. Минулого тижня під час візиту до Брюсселя президент України Петро Порошенко домовився з лідерами ЄС про спільну роботу щодо російської пропаганди.
