Об'єднання націоналістів партії Союз Вітчизни і Res Publica (IRL) запропонувало уряду Естонії заборонити трансляцію російських пропагандистських телеканалів на території всієї країни.

За словами голови об'єднання Тармо Круузімяе, Росія вже роками через пропагандистські ЗМІ бреше або спотворює правду.

«Росія розпочала відкриту інформаційну війну проти Естонії, Європейського Союзу та НАТО. Телеканали східного сусіда закликають до насильства, розпалюють міжнаціональну ворожнечу і намагаються дестабілізувати ситуацію по всій Європі. Щоб не ставити під загрозу свою державну безпеку, необхідно закрити доступ до цих телеканалів. Нинішня урядова коаліція повинна розуміти, що завтра може бути вже пізно. Тому потрібно вживати профілактичних заходів», - заявив Круузімяе.

Також він додав, що Грузія, Україна, Молдова, Латвія, Литва та багато інших країн вже зробили аналогічні кроки.
