В Евросоюзе одобрительно отозвались о результатах выборов в Турции, отметив, что все основные политические партии получили представительство в новом парламенте.

Об этом говорится в совместном заявлении высокого представителя ЕС по вопросам внешней политики и безопасности Федерики Могерини и еврокомиссара Йоханнеса Хана на сайте ЕС,передает Европейская правда.

"Всеобщие выборы в Турции 7 июня прошли с рекордной явкой в 86%, и это явный признак прочности турецкой демократии. Тот факт, что все основные политические партии получили представительство в новом парламенте, особенно важен", - говорится в заявлении.

В заявлении отмечается, что Евросоюз с нетерпением ждет скорейшего формирования нового парламента и правительства для тесного сотрудничества с ними.

"Предстоящий период открывает возможности для дальнейшего укрепления отношений ЕС и Турции и расширения сотрудничества ЕС-Турция во всех сферах на благо всех наших граждан", - отмечается в заявлении.

Как сообщалось, правящая Партия справедливости и развития потеряла большинство в турецком парламенте.

Партия президента Реджепа Тайипа Эрдогана получила 41% голосов и победила на выборах, однако это существенно более низкий результат, чем в 2011 году.

Наибольшим успехом выборов в Турции считается преодоление 10% барьера курдской Демократической партией – она набирает 13%
