Руководитель политического движения «Новая Россия» Никита Исаев считает, что решение предоставить Украинской православной церкви Киевского патриархата Томос об автокефалии можно сопоставить по мощности с тем ударом по Русской православной церкви, который разрушил ее в 1917 году. Как передает PRпортал, такую точку зрения Исаев озвучил в прямом эфире пропагандистского ток-шоу «60 минут» на телеканале «Россия 1». Также политик убежден, что упомянутое историческое решение привело к тому, что Москва лишилась центра «русского мира».

«Так произошло, что сейчас РПЦ получает такой удар, которого она не получала с 1917 года. Как известно, тогда ее полностью фактически раздавили большевики в последствии и после этого восстанавливалась. На сегодняшний день мы становимся одной из поместных церквей, к сожалению. Не центром «русского мира» — Москва перестает быть таковой», — подчеркнул он.

Отметим, что ранее Александр Волков, занимающий должность пресс-секретаря Московского Патриарха Кирилла, выразил уверенность в том, что большая часть прихожан УПЦ МП в Украине не перейдут под юрисдикцию УПЦ КП после получения ею Томоса. Но в то же время он спрогнозировал масштабные столкновения на религиозной почве, назвав их «торжеством ада».
