Індекс свободи преси в Україні значно виріс за минулий рік.

Таким чином, Україна опинилася на 107 місці з-поміж 180 країн. 

Тим часом, рівень свободи преси в Росії визнали не достатньо високим - країна посіла 148 позицію. Серед пострадянських країн, найбільш сприятлива атмосфера для ЗМІ панує в Естонії - 14 місце у списку.

Країнами, в яких журналістів обмежують найбільше, виявилися Китай, Сирія, Туркменистан, Північна Корея та Еритрея. 

Перші місця у ренкингу посіли Фінляндія, Нідерланди, Норвегія, Данія та Нова Зеландія.
