Журналисты издания Worldfence узнали, что для совершения хакерских атак в процессе избирательной кампании в США РФ, возможно, пользовалась программой, которую создали программисты в Украине, - сообщает PRпортал. Сообщается, что атака осуществлялась с использованием продукта PAS 3.1.7, способного распространять вирусы. На портале для загрузки более ранней версии программы в графе страны, в которой он был произведен, указана Украина. Вместе с тем, есть информация, что эта программа достаточно старая и ею можно пользоваться бесплатно. 

Помимо этого, сообщается, что код, который принято связывать с российскими хакерами, был обнаружен на одном из компьютеров, принадлежавшему поставщику электроэнергии Burlington Electric Department из штата Вермонт (США). Ноутбук, в который проник вирус, не подключили к системе управления электрическими сетями. Поэтому цель его заражения по сегодняшний день остается неизвестной. 

Напомним, что 29 декабря 2016 года в Вашингтоне заявили, что в связи с совершенные РФ атаки на политические партии США, Белый дом решил выслать из страны 35 сотрудников российского посольства.
