По словам Трэвиса Каланика, он начал работу над обновлением фирменного стиля компании два года назад.
Uber начинался как сервис личных водителей для 100 друзей в Сан-Франциско. Сегодня мы транспортная сеть, работающая в 400 городах, 68 странах мира, доставляем еду и посылки по одному нажатию кнопки. — Трэвис Каланик.
В рамках разработки нового фирменного стиля команда Uber спроектировала идентификационные элементы, которые будут использоваться для различных сервисов компании — доставка еды, посылок, личные водители.
Кроме того, компания отказывается от привычного черно-белого стиля. По словам Каланика, команда потратила несколько месяцев для того, чтобы подобрать аутентичные цвета и паттерны для различных стран, в которых работает Uber.
В планах компании разработать подобные идентификационные элементы для каждого города, в котором работает Uber. Например, они отображаются при запуске приложения.
Uber также изменил иконки своих приложений.
Также обновился сайт сервиса.
