Адміністрація американського національного парку “Великий каньйон” натякає, що буде зрізати “замки кохання” із місцевих огорож. Птахи ковтають ключі від них, і це завдає тваринам великої шкоди. Про це повідомляє сторінка національного парку у Facebook.

“Любов сильна, але не така ж сильна, як наші кусачки”, – написали представники парку. 

У пості опублікували фото працівника, який зрізав частину огорожі, на якій туристи вішають “замки кохання”. Зазвичай люди пишуть на них свої імена та вішають на якихось туристичних атракціях, вірячи, що це зміцнить та покращить їхні стосунки. 

Адміністрація заявила, що вважає такі символи кохання сміттям і графіті – у сенсі, формою вандалізму. Але більше того – люди викидають ключики від замків у каньйон, а там їх проковтують птахи. Іноді птахи можуть потрапити навіть під ніж хірурга через те, що наковтуються ключів.

Кондори, наприклад, дуже допитливі птахи, але вони не призначені для перетравлення металів, – пишуть співробітники заповідника. Якщо кондор проковтне забагато ключиків від замків, він може померти. 

“Замки кохання” є великою проблемою для багатьох туристичних атракцій. Наприклад, у французькому Парижі на Мосту Мистецтв їх стало так багато, що міст почав руйнуватися через їхню вагу. У 2015-му влада вирішила зрізати 700 тис. замків. Їхня сукупна вага була як у 20 слонів.
