Губернатор Закарпаття Геннадій Москаль підписав чергове розпорядження про перейменування топонімів у рамках декомунізації.
Згідно документу, площа Жовтневу у селі Минай – буде перейменована "на площу Енді Воргола (відомий митець українського походження, один із засновників поп-арту)", говориться у повідомленні Закарпатської ОДА.
Загалом у розпорядженні йдеться про перейменування восьми об'єктів у п'яти населених пунктах Виноградівського, Іршавського, Мукачівського, Тячівського та Ужгородського районів.
Серед нових назв, як пояснюють у прес-службі ОДА:
- вулиця Едмунда Еґана ("угорський економіст та громадський діяч середини 19 ст., зробив величезний вклад у розвиток сільського господарства на Закарпатті"),
- вулиця Павла Бедзіра ("видатний закарпатський художник, уродженець Тячівського району"),
- вулиця Ференца Семана ("видатний закарпатський живописець, один із кращих учнів А.Ерделі та Ф.Манайла"),
- вулиця Володимира Дегтярьова ("видатний музейний діяч, багаторічний директор Закарпатського художнього музею ім. Й.Бокшая, популяризатор закарпатського мистецтва на загальноукраїнському та міжнародному рівні"),
- вулиця Степана Кутлана ("відомий художник і педагог, автор угорського букваря, що видавався з 1945 по 1965 рік, уродженець Фанчикова")
- вулиця Кив'яждьська ("Кив’яждь – колишня назва Кам'янського" - села, в якому знаходиться ця вулиця)
- вулиця Августина Волошина ("президент Карпатської України, удостоєний звання Героя України посмертно").
Перейменування проводиться у рамках виконання закону "Про засудження комуністичного та націонал-соціалістичного (нацистського) тоталітарних режимів в Україні та заборону пропаганди їхньої символіки", додають в ОДА.
