У Тунісі призначили дострокові вибори президента  на 15 вересня 2019 року. Спочатку вибори планували провести 17 листопада, але їх перенесли через смерть попереднього глави держави Беджі Каїда Ес-Себсі. Про це повідомляє видання euronews.

Зазначається, що таке рішення ухвалила виборча комісія Тунісу.

Виконувати обов’язки президента до обрання нового глави держави буде голова парламенту Мухаммед ан-Насер.

Нагадаємо, 25 липня президент Тунісу Біжи Каїд Ес-Себсі помер у віці 92 років. Ес-Себсі був першим демократично обраним президентом Тунісу, який очолив країну 2014 року. Раніше він оголосив, що не братиме участі у виборах, призначених на листопад. За його словами, президентом Тунісу має стати нова та молода людина.
